The Challenge
The client struggled with the inefficiencies of manually searching through a substantial volume of scanned documents and images, which significantly hindered productivity and slowed down access to critical information. They needed a solution to automate the search process by extracting text from scanned documents and images, ensuring that valid information could be efficiently indexed and accessed whenever needed, ultimately improving their document management and accessibility.
Our Solution
We opted for Progress Telerik Test Studio to tackle the client's challenge. This is a reliable and user-friendly software test automation tool for web and desktop applications.
Expanding Presence Across States
We implemented a comprehensive solution that combined OCR functionality, a custom NLP model, and Elasticsearch to overcome the document searching challenges. The OCR functionality was deployed to extract text from scanned documents and images, and a bot was developed to automate periodic OCR processing, ensuring continuous extraction and preparation of text data for indexing.
Intelligent Document Search with NLP and Elasticsearch
The custom NLP model, designed using the BERT transformer architecture, was trained specifically to identify and extract relevant information from the extracted text. This information was then indexed with Elasticsearch, creating a powerful search capability that allowed for rapid and accurate retrieval of documents, significantly improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the client's document management processes.
