Multi Cloud Solution Architect- (Azure+AWS)

About the Role 

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Multi-Cloud Solutions Architect to lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade cloud solutions across Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. You will serve as a primary technical authority for cloud architecture, guiding cross-functional teams through complex migrations, modernizations, and greenfield implementations. 
 
This position is intended for senior architects who are strong in at least one primary cloud (AWS or Azure) and are also hands-on and delivery-oriented in the other. You will define reference architectures, shape cloud landing zones, drive security and governance, and partner with stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and cost-optimized solutions. Additional exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is a plus. 

Key Responsibilities 

Cloud Architecture & Design: Lead the design of scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant, and cost-optimized architectures on AWS and Azure for mission-critical enterprise applications. Define end-to-end solution blueprints including compute, network, storage, data, identity, and observability layers. 

Migration & Modernization: Architect and oversee large-scale cloud migration strategies (lift-and-shift, re-platforming, re-architecting) and legacy modernization to cloud-native services. Build modernization roadmaps and advise on decomposition patterns, containerization, serverless adoption, and managed data services. 

Technical Leadership & Stakeholder Advisory: Act as the go-to technical advisor for engineering teams, product owners, and senior stakeholders on cloud best practices, design patterns, and emerging services across AWS and Azure. Communicate architectural trade-offs and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences. 

Well-Architected Reviews: Conduct architecture reviews using AWS Well-Architected and Azure Well-Architected frameworks and drive remediation of identified risks across security, reliability, performance efficiency, cost optimization, and operational excellence. 

Security, Identity & Compliance: Design and enforce cloud security architectures including identity and access management, network segmentation, encryption strategies, secrets management, logging/monitoring controls, and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GDPR). Implement guardrails with policy-as-code and governance tooling. 

DevOps, IaC & Automation: Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation/CDK and Azure Bicep/ARM (as applicable). Drive CI/CD pipeline design, GitOps adoption, and automated platform provisioning for multi-cloud environments. 

Hybrid & Multi-Cloud Connectivity: Design hybrid and interconnect architectures such as VPN/ExpressRoute/Direct Connect, hub-and-spoke networking, transit routing, private endpoints, and shared services patterns. Support multi-account/multi-subscription operating models and landing zone architectures. 

Cost Optimization & FinOps: Implement FinOps strategies, monitor and optimize cloud spend, and architect solutions that balance performance with cost efficiency. Leverage savings constructs (Reserved Instances/Savings Plans/Azure Reservations), autoscaling, and right-sizing across AWS and Azure. 

Mentorship & Practice Building: Mentor and upskill junior and mid-level architects and engineers on cloud-native design principles, reusable patterns, and multi-cloud service selection. Contribute to internal accelerators, reference implementations, and delivery playbooks. 

Documentation: Produce high-quality architecture decision records (ADRs), solution design documents, runbooks, and technical roadmaps. Maintain architectural standards and ensure traceability from requirements to design to operational readiness. 

Required Qualifications 

• 12–14+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, or solutions architecture with strong focus on AWS and Azure. 

• Deep expertise across core AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS/Aurora, Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, CloudFront, Route 53, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, Step Functions) and core Azure services (e.g., Virtual Machines, Blob Storage, Azure SQL, Functions, AKS, App Service, VNets, Azure Monitor, Azure Policy). 

• Proven track record of architecting and delivering enterprise-scale environments (multi-account/multi-region AWS; multi-subscription/multi-region Azure). 

• Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and at least one cloud-native IaC approach (CloudFormation/CDK and/or Azure Bicep/ARM). 

• Expertise in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and modern application patterns including microservices and serverless. 

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline). 

• Solid understanding of networking concepts: DNS, load balancing, routing, VPN, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, private endpoints, and hybrid cloud architectures. 

• Experience implementing security best practices including Zero Trust-aligned controls, encryption at rest/in transit, secrets management, and compliance automation. 

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Cloud certifications (preferred): AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional; AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional; Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert; Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert. 

• Security/Networking certifications (plus): AWS Security/Advanced Networking specialties, Azure Security Engineer, or equivalent. 

• Experience with multi-cloud environments beyond AWS/Azure (GCP and/or OCI) and ability to map architectures across providers. 

• Background in data engineering and analytics services (e.g., AWS Redshift/Glue/Athena/Kinesis; Azure Synapse/Data Factory/Event Hubs). 

• Familiarity with AI/ML services on cloud (e.g., AWS SageMaker/Bedrock; Azure Machine Learning/Cognitive Services). 

• Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare, financial services, or government. 

• Prior experience in consulting, professional services, or managed services environments.
