Job Description-
Role- DCL+ Open VMS+ COBOL Developer

Requirements- Experience- 5+ yrs.
We are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Developer with expertise in COBOL/HPCobol ( Additional Assembler, CICS) to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in mainframe development, along with a solid understanding of core mainframe technologies. Experience in DB2 and support is considered a plus. The successful candidate should have a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in mainframe development.

Responsibilities:

  1. Requirements Analysis: Participate in analyzing project requirements.
  2. COBOL Programming: Demonstrate expertise in COBOL, OpenVMS, SOAP/XML, REST/JSON API, communication protocols, and Oracle RDB databases.
  3. Integration Development: Collaborate internally to create high-quality integrations and develop robust solutions.
  4. Technical Skills: Possess experience in the freight forwarding industry, familiarity with ANSI X12 transaction sets, and expertise in EDI translation software.
  5. Task Analysis and Execution: Analyze tasks comprehensively, work on assigned tickets promptly, and troubleshoot, revise, update, and refactor code as necessary.
  6. Production Support: Provide efficient production support for issue resolution.
  7. Documentation and Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with team members, interact directly with customers and vendors, and contribute to various levels of documentation for applications.
