Senior Business Analyst

We are seeking a skilled Senior Business Analyst with over 7+ years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong analytical and communication skills, capable of working across cross-functional teams to bridge the gap between business and technology. They should be able to produce clear documentation, present ideas effectively, and actively contribute to both business and technical discussions. Candidate should be passionate about solving complex business challenges through technology and thrive in fast-paced environments.

The candidate should be comfortable taking ownership of projects beyond traditional BA responsibilities, including planning, coordination, stakeholder management, delivery tracking, and risk management where required. The ideal candidate should also be proficient in leveraging AI tools responsibly to improve productivity and quality of deliverables, while validating AI-generated outputs through business knowledge, critical thinking, and professional judgment.

Qualifications

• Education: BCA / B.E./ B.Tech / MCA / M.Tech / Equivalent
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years in a Business Analyst or similar role within technology-driven environments.
• Certifications (Preferred): CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or Scrum-based certifications (BA/PO).
• Additional Skills (Preferred): Working knowledge of SQL, data analysis tools, and domain expertise in [Finance, Healthcare, E-commerce, pharma, Life science etc. – optional].

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to elicit, analyze, prioritize, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Translate business needs into well-defined solution requirements and ensure alignment between business objectives and technical implementation.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation including BRDs, FRDs, SRSs, WBSs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, use cases, and wireframes.
• Facilitate requirement workshops, stakeholder discussions, project meetings, and backlog grooming sessions.
• Work closely with development, QA, architecture, and product teams to ensure solutions are technically feasible, scalable, and aligned with business goals.
• Support project planning, estimation, stakeholder coordination, risk assessment, change management, delivery tracking, and status reporting activities.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and delivery teams to ensure timely delivery of high-value business outcomes.
• Support testing efforts through test scenario reviews, validation of delivered functionality, defect triage, and participation in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Participate in solution rollouts by preparing training materials, user manuals, release documentation, conducting demonstrations, and supporting business adoption.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, operational efficiency, automation, and technology-driven business transformation.
• Prepare meeting notes, project proposals, project reports, case studies, presentations, and other stakeholder-facing deliverables.
• Utilize AI tools responsibly to accelerate analysis, research, documentation, and solution design activities while validating outputs through business knowledge, critical thinking, and professional judgment.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, and act as Product Owner when required.
• Encourage innovation, contribute to solution brainstorming sessions, and promote best practices across business analysis and project delivery.
• Demonstrate strong ownership, self-management, multitasking, and process-oriented execution in a fast-paced environment.

Basic (Must have):

• Strong stakeholder management, project coordination, and delivery tracking skills.
• Ability to effectively operate in a hybrid Business Analyst and Project Management capacity.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
• Efficient in preparing user stories, acceptance criteria, and product backlogs.
• Proficient with Wireframing, Diagram and Prototyping Tools (e.g., Balsamiq, Figma, Adobe XD), Project Management Tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps), and Presentation Tools (e.g., MS PowerPoint, Google Slides, Miro).
• Understanding of frontend & backend technology, system architecture, development frameworks, cross-platform solutions, and database structures.
• Familiarity with SQL, NoSQL, Web APIs, and third-party integrations including location services, messaging systems, payment gateways, charts, and social APIs.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) and the ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
• Understanding of ethical, secure, and responsible usage of AI technologies in a business environment.
